BLOWN ASHES

Remain in the image that we were created in.  (Genesis 1:27) reminds us that God made man, like HIM.  Although man may forget, the enemy does not.  It is our enemy’s jobs to twist our image, because he knows the seeds of greatness from which we come, and those that are within us.

When we post images of ourselves on social media, doing unholy worldly things, countless people will express their approval with digital likes.  The enemy knows that worldly approval for unholy behavior, will lead to more of the same kind of conduct.  The enemy knows that man hungers for approval from the FATHER.  In man’s pursuit to win God’s approval, he often settles for worldly applause instead.  The accolades of the world are like ashes or “dust that are carried away by a slight gust of wind”.  Once we give away our dignity, or take payment for our soul, there is a debt to be paid to the devil.  That is when worldly compliments, respect, or approval blows away in the next satanic storm.

When we spread the Word of God, the world ignores its truth, and assumes the worst about the one who shares it.  We, the followers of Christ, do not chase the winds of worldliness, being planted and rooted in God.  Our hearts listen for the soft peaceful voice of our Savior, who leads us through the flashy wilderness of the world.  We are well suited with discernment that picks up evil inconsistencies on an intuitive level.  God leads our hearts, even when things of the world distract our eyes.

Those who are of the world, “change your mind and attitude to God and turn to him so he can cleanse away your sins and send you wonderful times” in the mighty name of Jesus.  Know whose image that you were created in, that you would not be blown away like ashes, by the next gust of wind.
