Do not be jealous of wicked shine, for its candle shall soon be put out. Pray in advance for souls that can be saved, and refrain from taking pleasure in the ultimate downfall of the lost.
You now see, it was a blessing from God, that you were not welcomed in certain circles; it is HIS way of keeping you from their same fate.
God hinders you from gaining favor or admiration among the unrighteous, because HE has foreseen HIS distinct Divine plans for your life. (Proverbs 13:11) is a piece of wisdom regarding the value of honest hard work. Dishonest gain dwindles away and will not last.
Call this Divine intervention, a warning against the temptation to seek riches through dishonest means. Whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow, when accumulated through honest methods. One enjoys great stability through honest work.
Those who are present during prosperous times of the wicked, will have a debt to pay after their fall. The goodwill shown to anyone by the wicked, comes with a running tab. That tab is payable upon their downfall. The sponsor of wickedness, will cash in on his investment. You enjoyed the generosity of wickedness, and when their shine is put out, you shall not be able to hide.
