UNTO SON OF GOD

If a man knows how to appropriate the particular place, time, order, bulk, proportion, and mental organization of any one, he can attract and draw them, just as a magnet attracts iron: but he must first be prepared, just as the magnet must be fashioned by the file and charged with electricity.  To this end the soul must first be purified, and dedicated to God through faith; a pure heart and constant joy in the spirit are requisites.  To possess love to God and his fellow-man, and then he may arrive at a perfect state and become like unto the Son of God.

Our spirit, word, and act, have no power in magic and knowledge, if they are not everywhere strengthened by the Word of God.  Praying to God without ceasing, live a sober, temperate, and unstained life in a continual state of repentance, while giving alms and help to the poor.

Even when the night looks black after sundown, Holy Scripture tells us to keep a bright outlook.  For it is not strange that an average man becomes confused in the face of direction to keep a straight path.

If good features have been bestowed upon you, be thankful and take care of yourself.  If not, remember the features are but a slight percentage of personal attractiveness.  A good demeanor and kindly spirit are of the first importance.  Beauty and strength are acquired by attention to physical needs, just as character is added to the intellect by giving attention to spiritual requisites.  The imperfections of the body can be improved upon or entirely overcome, through Christ.  Health is beauty and happiness, and each attainable by obedience to spiritual laws of being.  Through the sovereign, supreme power, and authority, of Jesus Christ.

When we become tired of wandering and are no longer inhabitants of the House of Pharaoh, we approach the banks of our Red Sea.  Once crossing over to the other side, there we find our first Mountain.  The people on one side call this Mountain Herob, while the natives on its other side call it Sinai.  On its lower slopes is where Moses met Jethro, an old chief who was wise in the way of all old men and who had the Gift of reading thoughts out of one’s head.

The father of seven daughters, Jethro’s one chief regret that he had no son to whom he might impart his wisdom and knowledge of the things of nature.  It was only natural then, that he should take Moses for his son, for the two had many things in common.  In the placid days that followed, Moses found Peace and Contentment in tending to the herds and absorbing much knowledge of the ways of earth and sky and nature, of the secrets of the trees and grasses, of herbs and roots and all the animals of the Mountain.  Jethro was a great teacher, he had a wisdom that could not be found in books.  Jethro told Moses all about the Mountain; that it was Holy Ground; that there was a God “up there” but forbade Moses to go up until he “was ready”.  Becoming strong in influence among the Midians, but Moses had no wish to govern for he was sick to death of the way that Power went to a man’s head.  In Egypt he had seen the evil that Power could bring, and he wanted none of it.  All he did was study and perfect feats of Magic that even surpassed those of the now ancient Jethro.  He had but to raise his hand and the people of Midian stood in awe.
