BROKE BACK

Let us pray to God that HE breaks the back of the mountain of conflict in this world.  Jesus tells us in (Matthew 17:20) “For if you had faith even as small as a tiny mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move!’ and it would go far away.”  It is important to remember that the “mountains” and obstacles can represent not only physical obstacles but also emotional or spiritual barriers as well.

(Psalm 46:2-3) Speaks about God’s protection and help in times of trouble.  This Word assures us that we need not fear earthquakes, chaos, or destruction because God is our refuge and strength.  Even if the most stable and unmovable things around us (like mountains) were to crumble and fall into the sea, God will still keep us safe, secure, and protected.  We are encouraged to trust in God’s power and presence, especially during our most challenging moments in life.

(James 4:7-8) This verse emphasizes the importance of choosing to pursue righteousness and actively resisting evil influences in life.  Doing so, we open ourselves to God’s grace and receive the gift of HIS presence in our lives.

Living with inner confusion is like living with a double-minded man.  In (James 1:8), the Bible describes a double-minded person as “unstable in all their ways.”  They are not sure about what they believe and value, making them susceptible to influence by opposing viewpoints or desires.  This is a kind of conflict, which can pose an obstacle to resisting the devil and standing firm in the face of battle.  When a person is uncertain or confused about what they believe or value, it creates an inner struggle that can make it challenging to maintain a steadfast stance against instability, in all aspects of life.  We must hold firm to one’s Holy beliefs and values, and maintain a clear and focused mindset to avoid inner conflict, this gives us the power to withstand the schemes of the devil.

No more pessimism and negativity.  Gone are the days of dwelling on problems rather than possibilities.  We must do away with the limits to our ability to work towards common goals, and focus on maintaining positive relationships.  Never again shall there be feelings of separation and alienation.

The title Broke Back is a metaphorical expression that relates to overcoming and resolving difficult situations that create conflict.  Our collective prayers broke the back of Conflict Mountain.  We will face challenges in life, but trusting and relying upon God will help us to overcome them.  HIS truth breaks the back of Conflict Mountain, giving us victory over our struggles and peace in our hearts.

Let us hold on to the promise of a great reward in heaven and our hearts are filled with joy and gladness, knowing that God is faithful to those who trust in HIM.  May we always seek to do HIS will and follow HIS ways, so that we may live a life that is pleasing in HIS sight. Amen
