DEAR DIARY

Dear Diary:

You are the place where thoughts, feelings, and experiences reside.  Where emotions find solace, a rare sanctuary that blooms self-expression.

Your pages hold details that occur over time, a look back at the world evolving.  Gone from record are the blotted out, flickering out of existence, like a cursed book from a strange library.

You are the keeper of innermost thoughts, deeper understanding, and self-reflection.  The caretaker of stories told, time and time again.

Inside you are poured out emotions.  There were the times when people thought they were home in a relationship, and it turned out they were really at school.  You diary, have all of the letters of those who wrote their way back home.

There was that time when someone wrote, “like a kidney stone, you too shall pass” regarding a lost love.  Another wrote, “What about the memories of people who’s beauty could not be found, even after stripping away all of their facades”.  The page, “Your words have their way, as they weave their spell, obscuring any light of truth”.

There are many who wrote of falling in love with words not meant for them to hear, while listening to things never said.  They listened to lies while only hearing truth, and bled on your pages without dying.  At the intersection of nothingness and infinity are the trapped emotions of turbulent words between the peaceful spaces of you.

Some write you and say, “Within these pages tales untold, is a realm of fiction where truth is not behold”.  Diary, you are the thick black glasses that shield the eyes from a world never revealed.  Where lifetimes are rolled into articles where we often go and slip between the pages.

God’s Word is something like a book of diaries; some used as self-reflection, while others document thoughts and experiences.  Within it are tools for personal growth that will leave you breathless but also leave you deathless.
