SHARED HUMANITY

As we look to the future, we can see the many challenges facing humanity.  With rapid development of technology and globalization, the world is becoming more interconnected and interdependent than ever before.

Let us travel the path that recognize and embrace our shared humanity.  We are united as brothers and sisters in Christ. (Galatians 3:28) The Bible tells us “there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus”.  These words remind us that, despite our differences, we share a common bond as members of the body of Christ.

The book of (Romans 12:16) instructs us to “live in harmony with one another”.  As Christians, we are called to love and respect one another, even when we don’t agree on every issue. Doing so builds bridges of understanding towards a better future.  We are called to find common ground as people, and work together to overcome the challenges of our time. With God’s guidance and the spirit of unity, we can achieve great things and bring about positive change in the world.  To confront challenges we face as a global community, its time to move beyond our differences and work together towards common goals, like peace, prosperity, and sustainability.

Engage with one another to achieve respect and build mutual trust, intercultural understanding, and empathy.  Let us now collaborate on solutions that benefit all people, regardless of geographical, cultural, or economic differences.  Our shared humanity refers to the truth, that humans regardless of their differences of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, and/or gender, share common characteristics based on their humanity.

In a world that seems increasingly divided, it is more important that we realize our shared humanity.  To embrace what unites, and work towards a better future, so we all can be accepted and respected for who we are.
