PRAY ON THE FULL ARMOR

What does it mean to “be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might”?  God, the Divine Warrior is equipped for battle in a heavy-duty armor.  Through the power of prayer, we too are fortified with the same armor.  The Word of God and the scriptures contained therein are tools accessible to the believer with instructions on how to protect us in battle against evil.  We can stand against attacks of doubt and discouragement.

The Belt of Truth, Breastplate of Righteousness, Gospel of Peace, Shield of Faith, Helmet of Salvation, and Sword of the Spirit.  These are the pieces of Armor we put on when properly equipped for battle in the spiritual realm.  Proper preparation for warfare starts with knowing your enemy.  Recognize your position, respect the encounter, but know the outcome.  The Bible teaches us the enemy’s tactics, so in preparation for war we take up the Full armor of God.  Our offensive weapon is the Sword of the Spirit.  We order our thoughts to align with God’s truth, giving us power to recognize the enemy’s lies and tear them down as we stand on the Rhema Word of God.  Because of our faith to know the outcome in advance, we walk victoriously and rejoice.

PRAY THIS PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, I pray on Your Full Armor as I follow your command.  You have given me the mind of Christ, I know that my battle is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, authorities, and powers of this dark world, so I stand against the culture and the lies of the evil one.  I pray on your Belt of Truth that encircles me, and place on my head, Your Helmet of Salvation that You will guard my mind and my thoughts, that can lead me astray, as I prepare to do battle against spiritual forces of the dark unseen world.

Father, cover my heart, as I pray on your Breastplate of Righteousness.  My vital organs are protected as You cover the integrity of my soul and spirit of my inner man.  The power of sin and death has already been defeated on the cross.  Your Living Word holds me up; You have forgiven me of my sin, and clothed me in Your righteousness.  I believe with all of my heart that Your Word is truth, and I reject the lies of the evil one, as I am set free, by Your truth.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace and I stand strong on the solid rock of Jesus Christ against deception, temptation, schemes, and accusations of the enemy.  My feet are firmly planted and rooted in You Lord Jesus, and I receive Your peace right now from the crown of my head to the sole of my feet.  Make me equipped to walk into any battle set for me.  I am filled with Your peace, and I choose to be a channel of that peace which transcends all understanding.

Father, I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand right now, and I hold it up trusting and believing You at Your Word, to extinguish every fiery dart and flaming arrow that is launched by the enemy.  I am protected from anything attempting to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, or emotionally.  I reject the spirit of fear and stand in the spirit of Your power.  Your power cancels every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy, and I am equipped in love and a sound mind.

Father, I take up the Sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word given me from Your heart to mine, and I hide it in my heart.  I believe the truth of Your Word over the lies of Satan.  I choose to submit every captured thought to the Lordship of Christ as You pour out Your truth over my life.  I pray for insight, skill, and wisdom to apply the Word of God as I inflict pain against the enemies of God.

Thank you Father, for Your mighty spiritual weapons of armor.  I am a victor and no weapon formed against me shall prosper.  Thank You Lord for filling me with the fullness of Your spirit.  Today, I choose to walk by faith and surrender my battles to You Lord.  Because of you Father, I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus, as His child, I march onward.

Amen

Ephesians 6:10-18

10 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”

Isaiah 11:5

5 “And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.”

Isaiah 59:17

17 “For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.”

7 “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!”

Isaiah 21:5

5 “Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield.”

Isaiah 49:2

2”And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;”

Hebrews 4:12

12 “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

James 4:7

7 “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
