SCAR OF TRAGEDY

Pray for those who have seen tragedy, that God will guard and comfort their minds, for the onlookers of tragedy will forever adorn its scar.

Natural disasters, personal loss, and/or societal upheavals can each be tragic.  The imperative for humanity lies in prioritizing support to preventing and predicting catastrophic events of every kind.

Trials that come with an element of surprise, the impact is more intense with sadness and grief, leaving their scar on those who have experienced them.

A community left with a sense of powerlessness and distress after tragedy that it could not predict or have any measure of control over.

Everywhere in the world there are the effects of growing up in continuous tragedy. (Job 5:7) Teaches us that human beings are destined to face troubles and hardships throughout their lives.  It highlights the inevitability of adversity and suggests it is a natural part of the human experience. (Psalm 34:18) Tells us that God is near to those who are brokenhearted or in distress. (John 16:33) Jesus reminds HIS followers, they will face trouble in the world but take comfort because HE has overcome the world.
