REST BE RESTORED

People understand the importance of water, but they have yet to comprehend the significance that proper rest plays in our lives.  Like water, until there is none, rest is something that we all take for granted.  One, who suffers from difficulty falling to sleep or those who wake earlier than desired, can appreciate the value of rest.

Whether from stress, anxiety, or a mental health imbalance, poor sleeping habits can cause a deficit in rational thought.  Lack of rest is comparative to when the body has a shortage of a required substance such as a vitamin or mineral.  Disease occurs when the body is in need of a vital nutrient over an extensive period of time.  This disturbs bodily functions ranging from immunity, mind stability, to blood pressure.

Being out of God’s will can result in us having no rest, or no resting place.  HE allows us to have an anxious mind, tired eyes, cravings, and a depressed spirit. (Deuteronomy 28:65)

When God is present in our lives, He gives us rest.  Disease of the body is like an enemy of the world, and God gives us rest from them all.  Through prayer, God’s rest will diminish anxiety, reduce blood pressure, and improve our immune health.  Time that we dedicate to reading God’s Word is a rest from the things of this world.  HIS Word brings us health and healing, that we may enjoy abundant peace and security. (Jeremiah 33:6)

As fully restored beings in Christ, we are brought back to our previous condition, position, or original brilliance.  Working for HIS Kingdom is like HIM bringing us back into use, giving us something that had been lost or stolen; restored.  The more deficient we have become, whether being neglected, or by neglecting ourselves, God carefully restores us.

In (Exodus 4:7) Moses’ hand was restored after he took it from his cloak.  (Job 22:23) instructs; removing wickedness from our home, HE will restore us, thereby returning us unto HIM.  (Job 33:25) tells us that we are renewed as a child who has been restored as in the days of our youth.  The Lord will look upon our misery and restore to us HIS covenant blessing instead of HIS curse.” (2 Samuel 16:12)

Find rest in God, through HIS Word and be restored.  Because running from the devil only causes loss of rest while increasing the distance from God, your solution.  The weary and burdened should go to God, stop taking rest for granted and be restored.
