SELFIE GENERATION

In this selfie generation, amongst this self-absorbed culture, can there be found even a single individual who embodies the virtue of meekness?  We live in a world captivated with painting self-portraits of prominence in the spirit of self-promotion.

We have all done some level of self-promotion, but we are living in times where certain attention is not worth having.  To expose yourself naked to draw attention, will attract the kind of attention not worth having.

Those under evil influence seek after Christian Social Media posts, they pursue attaching obscenity in an effort to sway the focus of believers.  We come against this deception, pray, and rebuke this conduct, in the name of Jesus.

Evil is attracted to God’s Word too, and we who glorify HIS name.  Our focus cannot be swayed away from God, we are not impressed with wickedness, and we pray that HIS Word captures the hearts of those who come near us, that they are turned away from darkness.

In (Philippians 2:3-4) Paul urge believers to adopt an attitude of humility and selflessness.  He instructs us to refrain from acting out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, prompting us to shift our focus from self-centeredness to genuine concern for others.

FATHER, we come before you in meekness and humility, recognizing the power of YOUR name.  We acknowledge that there are forces in this world that seek to distract and divide our attention from YOU, causing double-mindedness and confusion.  We ask, O God, that YOU break the power of schizophrenia and double-mindedness in our lives.  Unite our hearts and minds that we fix our gaze upon YOU and experience a singular focus on YOUR will and purpose for our lives.  In the mighty name of Jesus, we take authority over strongholds of rebellion and rejection that may hinder our relationship with YOU.  We bind these spirits and declare that they have no power over us, for we are children of the Most High.  Cast out all spirits of lust, fantasy lust, and perverseness that seek to entangle and ensnare our thoughts and actions.  Cast out sprits of self-delusion, self-deception, and self-seduction.  Close up any breach in my life that would give the enemy access, in the name of Jesus.  Cleanse us, O Lord, purify our hearts and minds that we may walk in purity and holiness before YOU.  I hereby repent and receive forgiveness for any sins that has opened the door for any evil spirits to enter and operate in my life.  We surrender our pride, ego, and vanity to you, dear God, with understanding that these spirits can lead us astray, and we replace them with a meek heart of a servant.  Grant us strength and discernment to resist temptations of the enemy, and to walk in alignment with YOUR will.  Let our lives be a reflection of YOUR love, grace, and truth, in Jesus’ name, these concerns and battles are surrendered into YOUR capable hands. AMEN

What must the air be like, up in the orbit of God, who runs the world?

Philippians 2:3-4
New International Version

3 “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”

Philippians 2:3-4
King James Version

3 “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”

Philippians 2:3-4
Living Bible

3 “Don’t be selfish; don’t live to make a good impression on others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself. Don’t just think about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and in what they are doing.”
