HUMILITY IS CONFIDENCE

It has been said that humility and confidence are closely related, but actually one represents the other.  In the same manner that, the presence of arrogance represents existence of insecurity.  Humility is quiet, yet strong; arrogance is loud, though weak.  The number 1 rule that separates them is never lie to self.

There are people who dress down and walk softly, but they own the world.  Some people expose the high price paid for their possessions, as if it makes them rich in the eyes of others.  Only to realize that confused admirers are uninformed haters.

One who is dressed down and walk’s soft is less likely to deny a family member their inheritance, as a show of dominance.  The same cannot be said of the price posting attention seeker, whose self-confidence is flaunted through their arrogance.  Humility and arrogance, is as confidence and insecurity.  One is the representation of the other.

A beautiful person demonstrates love through what they do.  They overwhelm their enemies in the same manner they overpower wicked pleasures.  With the understanding that cheek turning is more a demonstration of inner strength, than it is a sign of being a loser.  By defeating evil with good, a crack is made in the barricades of the enemy that leads to their total collapse.  Exposing the foolishness of their bitterness with a deliberate concentrated effort of love.  In the spirit of Jesus, we respond to evil with good, and send our enemies away in peace, assured that no harm shall come to us in the future.  We have strength through humility.

It is troubling when Christians and family members view one another as enemies.  They wage war against each other as a first thought rather than last resort.  With few blows being struck in the fight against demons, the true enemies.

The hardest to love are those who need it the most.  Real love is found in a person that you do not find twice.  So appreciate that we are rich when we have each other.  With a humble confidence, lean into pain and grow through it, and never retreat back to yesterday’s way of thinking.

The arrogant will justify their behavior by making it normal.  The humble understands that it is possible to make friends or have family that is fake people.  We may have to battle their attacks, yet our blessings continue to flow.  Maybe the arrogant should spend more time getting honest with, and curious about, their selves.  The questions are tough: Why am I doing this?  What void am I trying to fill? What’s lacking in me?

A confident person walking in humility is not afraid to lose those who are not grateful to have them.  The barrier that stands before them will turn into a bridge for their walk to destiny.  For the insults of those who insult you, have fallen on the Lord.  Therefore, love your enemies; they bring out the best in you.
