OUT OPENLY

In year 2021, we are forbidden to speak or act in ways that isolate or discriminate against particular segments of society.  There was once a time in history that discriminating on basis of race, gender, or sexual orientation was an accepted custom.  Today, there are laws and rules in place to prevent the mistreatment of those who fall under one or more of the so-called subcultures.  There is no more open game on the openly out, and rightfully so.  One can and should be allowed to be whom they are without fear of retribution from society based on their race, gender, or sexual orientation.

This opens up discussion for whether or not attention should be placed on protecting the rights and liberties of those who choses not to be, or is not by birth a member of one of the subcultures mentioned.  A member of one race, gender, or culture who assimilates with another is within their personal prerogative to do so and their rights in that regard should be protected.  Society, government, or religion cannot insert itself into that process.

In the case that a man or woman who has decided on the kind of lifestyle that suits them best, seeks to influence or persuade one who has chosen a different way of living, nothing can be said.  For example, no one should prevent a person from living an alternative lifestyle or convince them to reject it and convert to a more mainstream way of life.

On the other hand, those who live alternative lives should not seek to convert those who live in the mainstream custom of living.  To further illustrate this point, an alternative life-style person who is single, should not engage in the coveting conduct to bribe, seduce, or sway another from their hetero-sexual marriage based on their personal agenda or desire.

Men/women who have decided to live outside of social norms have every right within a free society to live how they prefer.  Those living within social norms should too be allowed a life protected from bribery, seduction, and persuasion of alternative ways of living.  Especially if living an alternative life-style restrains fruitful multiplication of the human species.  The breadwinners of families, who decide to abandon their mainstream way of living, to seek an openly alternative lifestyle, based on financial advantages that can be gained from their decision, is wrong.

There are men who leave behind their wives and children to enter into a relationship with another man because it’s financially beneficial for them to do so.  A woman who have bore her children of a man and then decides to abandon her marriage to live a life with a more monetarily successful woman is equally wrong.

There are those who straddle the fence of mainstream living, who have married, yet seek to tiptoe outside of social norms and their marriage in secrecy are wrong as well.  Be who you are, be also out openly about who you are, so that you attract like-minded willing accomplices.

Are there guidelines, rules, or protections in place that prevents the above-mentioned?  If there are not, should there be?  Should the sanctity of marriage and mainstream relationships be safeguarded?  Is Christian doctrine a valid standard for living or has man’s laws superseded God’s Law?  When we, the human civilization, have lost our direction, what places us back on the correct path?  Do we even know what the correct path looks like anymore?  Not many individuals, organizations, or religious bodies will address this subject.  For it is not public ridicule that regulates the personal act of making a decision, only the internal conflict that occurs when God convicts us through His Word, whatever the conduct.
