Scripture tells us that, “anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.” Making a decision to “unfriend” the world can lead to having hostilities with the world. When the world is our friend, multitudes of people seem to be “in the valley of decision!”
It is time to make the choice for God or the world. It is an easy choice to follow God rather than face the time of judgment when HE decides the fate of the nations. In Joel 3:14 are we being invited into fellowship with God while in the valley or are we being forecasted doom, should we make the wrong decision? There are many distractions in the world that can pull us out of the will of God, or from under HIS protection. A desire to unfriend the world or to be rejected by it is a sign that God has selected you. If the world overlooks you, consider the possibility that God has selected you for Kingdom assignment. The world and God do not mix, so a decision has been made, either by you or on your behalf, to serve God.
We live in a fearless generation; the time has come to select a side upon which you will courageously play your role. Allow those of the world to walk out of your life so that those who are chosen by God to walk with you may come in. These are Holy associates that God allied with you for HIS Kingdom assignment.
Those of the world are less than nothing; they are rich, yet poor. Lacking in humility is an indication of their need for healing. We can love people of the world but there is no indication of them being lovable. People of the world may give us a false interpretation of everyone in the world.
Being in the world, does not mean that we are of the world. Our decisions made in the world are the source of our problems. A few associations who are of the world are more to blame for the world’s problems, than blaming everyone in the world.
Those appointed for Kingdom assignment conduct themselves as examples for others. Being humble while abundant in self-confidence, with a joyful understanding of our usefulness in the world. As friends of God we crush HIS enemies who are friends of the world. We are chosen “out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be HIS people, HIS treasured possession.”
