THE CONSORTIUM

David Jeremiah May 2, 2021 – TAP HERE

In marriage there is a contractual alliance between a Husband and Wife and each the respective right to one another’s support, cooperation, aid, and companionship.  As part of this contractual alliance, there is an expectation of a normal marital relationship.  Each being legally bound to play their respective role within the consortium.

There are consortiums between groups, (as of companies) which are formed to enhance a business beyond the resources of any one member.  The power of the consortium is superior to the power of a single partner. Consortiums are formed as a relationship of two or more individuals, companies, organizations, including governments, or any combination of said entities that pool their resources for the purpose of achieving a shared objective.

This union, alliance, or consortium provides its members, partners, or cohorts an amount of power no individual alone is capable of exerting.  This is an example of the power of membership.  Parties or members of the consortium each have a shared faithfulness to keeping the consortium strong.

In marriage, each partner takes on roles for the labor of the household; which enhances connubial contentment.  As a marriage is a union covered under covenantal bond, each having an actionable cause to declare injury as result of loss of consortium.  This means that each party has a right of association and fellowship between the members.

God, who can do anything without our assistance, has entered into covenant with His children.  This becomes the consortium of power provided to God’s children through having the privilege of fellowship with the Father.  Although God is powerful without us, He depends on our contribution to the consortium.  He is within His legal authority to inflict a cause of action against us for His Loss of Consortium.  Have damages been levied against us arising from our negligence?  The delight experienced from being in marriage with God includes His right to our consortium and companionship.  The loss of it is our denial of normal marital relations with God.

God provides for us when loss of consortium happens when a partner cannot temporarily or permanently participate in normal marital relations because of the negligence of another.  This is one of many benefits of being within the consortium of God.  The world is attempting to extend consortium rights to nonmembers.  These rights are not intended for cohabitants of earth.  They are established privileges arising from the state of being espoused, extended to those individuals within the consortium of God.  To withdraw from the consortium of God, severs the marital bond, and ensures denial of His benefits.
