GOSSIP IS LETHAL

Imagine hearing a rumor that you had died.  Then imagine hearing that a family member made themself available to whomever wanted to ask questions regarding the rumor.  Beyond that, imagine them confirming that the rumor was true.  With such convincing corroboration, imagine the news traveling at lightening speed.  After the circulation of such news regarding your life, or lack thereof, imagine the day that you hear about the rumor.  You can’t even imagine such a thing, can you?

Being devastated over this gossip, you consider going to every person that might have heard the rumor, and make it known to them, it wasn’t true.  Realizing that you do not have the ability to travel at lightening speed, extinguishing the rumor seems impossible.  To do so would be comparable to retrieving feathers placed on the doorsteps of every person who heard the rumor.  There was a storm the night after the feathers were placed, and they have blown all over town.

It suddenly dawns upon you that we live in a time of global Internet access and the rumor has circled the globe. Prevailed upon you at that very moment, the rumor was out and it was never coming back.

This severe lie, in both degree and extent has caused lasting harm.  With a healthy self-image, you realize that in time, people whom love you will forget the bad rumors they may have heard about you.

But the people who persevere the rumors and lies are the ones who never cared.  The eye opener is when you realize there were people whom you thought of as friends were getting pleasure from the rumor.  Many were those who you may have helped over the years, even neighbors.

The divine Holy Spirit whose presence in a dream, advises you to hold your peace.  The Holy Spirit shows you that disgracing those responsible would be taking matters into your own hands.  By doing this only result in you achieving what you have the power to accomplish.  By giving it over to God in prayer, you can sit back and watch HIM do the judging.  It is HE with the power to pronounce sentence, and the authority to execute penalty.

As you allow God to handle your problems in HIS time, not yours, it is well worth the wait.  By being still and allowing God to fight your battles, you realize why HE permitted the rumor to take place to begin with.  The rumor was God’s way to show you those that are true.  The rumor made fake friends come out of the shadows, who were really enemies.  Now they say, “We have swallowed him up,” as in Psalm 35:25.

It is not long before you are no longer a topic for gossip.  As busybodies do, they move on.  God knows the ending and the beginning; HE saw the outcome from the start.  Trusting God by being still and allowing HIM to rule is your best course of action.

Now, people who should have never had close access to your life are moved out.  It is your responsibility to keep them out, because removing them again will be much harder.  Thank God for the rumors against you, for those who spread them inflict the lethal consequences upon themselves in due time.  When they continue working iniquity, you shall see their demise.  The very pit they dig for you, into it they shall fall.

Know how to relocate yourself, for your value to be felt by others, you must cross the borders of other nations.  Sometimes with great talents, it’s in our native land that we feel most like stepchildren.  Those who live where envy flourishes only remembers our small beginnings, and not the greatness one has reached through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
