Usually a very powerful reason is behind why a relationship remains secret. Most, if not all of the times there is a third party behind the scenes with whom there is a romantic commitment. It would be reasonable to say that a secret love consists of at least three parties.
If this were a representation of human flesh relations, it could be assumed that what is being suggested is a reflection of spousal infidelity. But no, this story is speaking on secret love with an ungodly master. A relationship in which there are three parties involved, for instance, you, them, and an ungodly master. These three-cords become powerful and are hard to be detached.
However, when the three-cord strand is one between man, woman, and God our creator, it represents a marriage relationship. When there is an ungodly third party within the relationship and not God, the corrupt third-person, attempts to remain in secret. We can rest assured that they are indeed corrupt, because the plan of their ungodly master is to keep them in stealthy undercover darkness. For those who walk in the spirit of the one and true God, there is nothing done in secret but prayer. This prayer that is done in private, rolls the rocks and boulders away that shadows in darkness those who lie in secret. Because the God of Truth operates in light and there is no darkness in Him. It is He who “makes all things work together for good”, even things done in darkness.
So, like the woman with the issue of blood, she pressed through, reached out and touched the garment of Jesus. The Bible tells us that, virtue went out from His garment because the power of the spirit was in the garment. Because God is a spirit, we know that the spirit heals through people and things. God can speak through others, as well as use us to deliver His message that indirectly heals. It is best not to be on the wrong side of God’s plan, friend or foe; He uses us to complete His will. God makes even the enemies of His children work on their behalf.
Although they lie in darkness, are exposed, convicted, and used for good. In the end, they would have better served their ungodly master by an open rebuke, rather than secret love. The God of truth is in control, and His light eclipses darkness, and makes all bind themselves jointly to perform what He has decided, bringing them under submission.

43 “And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,
44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.
45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
