TRANSFORMED

Throughout Deuteronomy, the Bible instructs us “to fear the Lord thy God.”  As believers we have come to understand that fearing God ensures us that we do not have to fear anything or anyone else.  To walk in the faith of His ways, loving and serving Him ensures us a never-ending life in eternity.

Here on earth, believers’ wonder whose teachings are correct, as there are many doctrines, denominations, and religions, with even more methods of instruction.  We are all familiar with ideological differences between Islam and Christian beliefs.  However, when it comes to differences between ministries of the same doctrine, supposedly taught from the same word, the inconsistencies are perplexing.  Are we allowed to question church leadership?  Every church claims their doctrine to be truth.

Things dividing us as people now divide the church.  Our tribal beliefs, theories, and principles dictate our spiritual understanding.  If the church teaches false spiritual viewpoints, the people within that church will align with those philosophies.  In conflicting beliefs there is only one that is correct.  Leaving the other as being incorrect.  But when there are thousands of conflicting viewpoints, with only one being correct, now we have confusion.  In Leviticus, Samuel, and Psalm the Bible speaks of instances of confusion and the consequential penalty.

This brings us back to having fear of the Lord.  Because with a true fear of the Lord, joined with a desire to dwell with Him in paradise, His doctrine is the only truth.  A church teaching any other doctrine is adding to the world’s confusion.  Philippians 4:8 educate the church on what things to think on.  Romans 16:17 prevail upon the church to mark and avoid them that cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine.

Doctrine is defined as “a belief or set of beliefs held and taught by a church, political party, or other group.”  The Ten Commandments is by far the most original example of Christian theology doctrine.  These Commandments are the body of commands and principles, a given branch of knowledge, which are at the core of our religious instruction as Christians.

The basic function of the church teaches us to pray, love, help, heal, give, and forgive.  The church must believe in the authority of Scripture.  The Body of Christ learns with a focus toward change.  To be taught properly has a transformational purpose.  Person of divine change does not conform to this evil world, but they transform the world around them.
