VERDICT PERSPECTIVE

Our assessment of others is based on their actions, while self-evaluation is influenced by intention.

(Matthew 7:1-2) Advises against passing judgment on others, as you will be judged in the same manner and with the same measure that you use.  Treating others with fairness and understanding will ultimately be reflected back onto you. (Proverbs 21:2) Highlights the idea that while people may believe their actions are justified, it is ultimately God who examines the intentions and motives behind those actions, HE weighs the heart. (1 Samuel 16:7) The Lord tells the prophet Samuel, that God looks at the heart and character of a person, rather than their outward appearance or status; it is inner qualities and integrity that captures the eyes of God.

It is important not to judge others based solely on their actions, as God considers the motives of the heart.  We should approach others with compassion and understanding, that our own actions and intentions will be correctly judged.  This is insight into deep understanding, an ever-increasing benefit to humanity, the greater number of people who possess it.

This verdict perspective on judging others, encourages us to strive for understand and empathy with one another.  Seeking to build each other up rather than tearing one another down, and by doing so will foster a more loving and harmonious world that more closely reflects the teachings of Christ.  Making the world a place that nurtures a peaceful and compassionate coexistence, full of cooperative collaboration.
