USURPERS OF THE WORLD

The definition of Usurper is “an illegitimate or controversial claimant to power, often but not always in a monarchy. In other words, a person who takes the power of a country, city, or established region for himself, without any formal or legal right to claim it as his own.”

In scripture the word Usurp is used in 1 Timothy 2:12 as follows:

1 Timothy 2:12

“But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.”

However, there are other ways that our authority can be usurped. The authority of rulers of nations, or its legislature can also be usurped. One can seize and hold a position of office or power by force and without legal right. During wrongful possession, annexation, or claim, they pillage, despoil, confiscate, and plunder fortune.

One who acts on his own authority as a sort of absolute master. This tyrannical pretender seizes power and occupies the throne, property, or rights of others to govern and exercise dominion over them.

When tragedy strikes, gloominess usurps mirth when news of the terrorist act spreads. It can be characterized as a takeover. The method used by the worst tyrants of a society.

God’s people will rise as their own roles of responsibilities are being usurped, and they will not cooperate with evil rulers. As when a judge on the bench feels when it seems a usurping of their function is transpiring.

A great howl is going up from the Body of Christ at what is seen as the usurping of the role of the church. The days of self-appointed leaders who lack the appropriate anointing have reached their end. Only genuine, authentic, faithful, and true authority will last forever. The Son of God shall rule throughout eternity.
