PEACE IS PRICELESS

If you have been without it, and finally get some, you come to understand its value. Whatever else you may have, without peace you have nothing because peace is priceless.

Peace is a central theme in the Bible, reflecting God’s will for humanity and HIS creation. Through HIS Word we can gain a deeper understanding of the peace that God offers, and how it surpasses all human understanding. One place it speaks of HIS perfect peace is in (Isaiah 26:3). In (Psalm 34:14) it teaches us to live in peace with everyone, tells us to work hard at it. (John 14:27) says “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart!”

Peace is more than the absence of conflict; it encompasses complete soundness, and wellbeing. The Hebrew word “shalom” and the Greek word “eirene” both convey a sense of wholeness and harmony that is rooted in a right relationship with God and others. This kind of peace is a gift from God, and is integral to HIS character.

Jesus is often referred to as the “Prince of Peace’. HIS life and teachings exemplify the peace that God desires for humanity. HIS peace is not merely lack of conflict but a profound sense of wellbeing, and reconciliation with God. He calls HIS followers to be peacemakers, bringing HIS peace to others.

Peace is a comprehensive state of wellbeing that HE desires for all creation. You can achieve it through a right relationship with God; trust in HIS plan, and live according to HIS teachings.

The Prince of Peace is priceless!
