HEAVEN TREASURES
Have you ever wished, you were born into wealth? Not just “doing okay” wealth. I mean, palace gates, private jets, trust fund babies, name-on-a-building kind of wealth. Have you ever thought: “If I had their last name, their legacy, their luxury, then maybe, just maybe, life wouldn’t hurt so much?” You’re not alone. We all, quietly, secretly, carry that wish. To be born above the struggle. To skip the storm, miss the mess, and never taste the ache. Because in our minds, wealth is insulation. A golden shield from suffering. But Jesus says: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth… where moth and rust destroy, and thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven…” (Matthew 6:19–20). You see, the problem isn’t wanting comfort. The problem is thinking earthly wealth can save. It can’t buy back lost time. It can’t mend a broken soul. It can’t heal grief, restore purpose, or give peace that actually stays. Money buys medicine, but not healing. It buys a bed, but not rest. It buys attention, but not love. And the illusion is this: That more of what’s temporary will somehow fix what’s eternal. But Jesus offers a better inheritance. A kingdom not built with gold, but with grace. Not grounded in status, but in surrender. So what if I told you: You were born into royalty? Not the kind that fades, but the kind that lasts. You’re the child of a King who doesn’t measure you by your net worth but by your new birth. “To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12) You are not behind. You are not less than. And no bank account can define your destiny. Because the treasure that matters isn’t stored in vaults, it’s stored in heaven. So don’t envy the rich. Envy the righteous. Don’t chase a throne made of silver, chase the Savior who wore a crown of thorns. Live rich in mercy. Invest in love. Spend your days on what won’t rot or rust. Because when the lights dim, and the world lets go, it won’t be your car, your clothes, or your cash that carries you home. It will be the treasures in heaven. Kindness given. Grace shown. Truth lived. Souls saved. So I’ll leave you with this: “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21) Let your heart rise. Let it store what the world can’t steal. Because the richest life is the one that gives it all for HIM. AmenHEAVEN TREASURES
