“Master of the Storm Within”

Who controls their emotions better, the wealthy or the poor? Let’s be honest: neither. Because peace is not found in possessions, But in the presence of the ONE who speaks to storms. They can never be used against you, Your feelings, your fears, your frustrations, When you become their master, When the Spirit becomes your compass, And Christ becomes your calm. (Proverbs 16:32) says, “Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city.” It’s not about who shouts louder or wins the fight, But who walks away with peace intact. Yes, intelligence is measured by your ability to change, To repent. To grow. To no longer be a slave to your impulses, But to be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2). Control how you respond to what was sent to destroy you. Every critic, every provoker, Every spirit of discord that enters the room Is not worthy of your ruin. Have you ever been in a house full of people Who argue just to feel alive? Where the atmosphere smells like strife, Where love is absent and chaos takes its seat at the head of the table? But you, you are called higher. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God” (Matthew 5:9). Don’t mirror the madness; Model the Messiah. Jesus, in the boat, asleep during the storm, That is power. That is peace. That is what it means to not be moved by the waves When the Word is within you. Don’t give people the blueprint to your breakdown. They came to argue; you came with answers. They brought fire; you brought Living Water. They sought to provoke; you chose to pray. So if emotions rise like thunderclouds, Pause. Pray. Remember: the storm inside is yours to calm Before it spills into a flood. And if you ever forget who you are, Remember this: God gave you the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). So stay sound. Stay steady. Stay Spirit-led. Master your emotions, Or they will master you. And you were not called to be mastered by anything but Christ. Be free. Be wise. Be still. Amen
