“The Whammy You Can’t Outrun: Real Happiness Is a Byproduct of Peace”

You’ve been wrestling with shadows, haven’t you? Trying to rearrange furniture in a burning house, Thinking a new view will change the flame. You chase happiness like it’s hiding around some external corner. But listen closely: Real happiness isn’t a reward for striving. It’s not a trophy for fixing everything around you. It’s a side effect. A symptom. It’s what peace breathes when it settles into your soul. But peace doesn’t come from promotions, possessions, or perfect plans. It comes from acceptance, Not of defeat, but of Divine design. You are not here to bend the world into your comfort zone. You are here to be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2). When you are arguing with God, you are arguing against the very Power that gave you breath to speak. You are debating the Author of logic with a vocabulary HE invented. You can’t out-think a whammy, can’t out-run a pledge made in the heavens, can’t whiteboard your way out of a storm that was spoken into being for your refinement, not your ruin. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against powers and principalities…” (Ephesians 6:12) So stop shadowboxing the spiritual with carnal gloves. This thing you’re facing, it’s not natural. It’s supernatural. You weren’t called to conquer it with your strength. You were called to surrender. To lay it down. To let peace do its work. For when Jesus spoke, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives…” (John 14:27) HE wasn’t offering escape, HE was offering equilibrium in chaos. HE never promised perfect conditions. HE promised perfect companionship. So today, stop fighting against God And start fighting with HIM By letting HIM fight for you. Because real peace isn’t passive, it’s powerful. And happiness? Happiness is the fruit that grows when the storm no longer owns your soul. And it all begins when you stop trying to master the fire, and instead trust the ONE who walks with you in it. “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” (Isaiah 26:3) Peace is not the absence of the storm. It’s the presence of God in it. And that, That is where happiness begins. Amen
