“Chewed Up, Called Out”

Like gum, the world will chew you up, and when your flavor fades, spit you out on the sidewalks of forgetfulness. What felt like loyalty was actually spiritual liability in disguise. They wore kindness like cologne, but carried chaos in their core. So walk with the wise, (Proverbs 13:20) says, because the companion of fools will not only suffer harm, they’ll learn to call it “home.” Familiar pain feels like peace when your circle is crooked. Proximity is power. Not everyone deserves front-row seats to your sacred becoming. Not all comfort is Holy. Some hug you tight only to smother your calling. They water your wounds, not your roots. Their emotional attachment is a counterfeit covenant. What you call connection, Heaven calls contamination. What’s unequally yoked can’t carry equal purpose. (2 Corinthians 6:14) If your circle is compromised, your calling is contaminated. Don’t confuse assignment with attachment. Don’t mistake kindness for Kingdom. Even Judas kissed Jesus. Let God cleanse your crew the way HE’S been cleansing you. Some exits are not betrayal, they’re Divine promotion. Some separations aren’t rejection, they’re realignment for resurrection. Let them go, and let God lead. That’s not cruelty, it’s clarity. That’s not hate, it’s Holiness. (John 15:2) “He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit…”) Because what good is an anointing if you’re surrounded by assassins? What good is a calling if your circle is full of chaos? Elijah didn’t need the crowd. David had to leave the palace. Jesus even withdrew to lonely places to pray. (Luke 5:16) Because silence sharpens your hearing and distance refines your discernment. So don’t mourn the gum on your shoe. Let it go. Step higher. Let God remove the residue of relationships you were never meant to revive. There’s a difference between being loyal and being bound. There’s a difference between loving people and letting them lead your life. Let this be your prayer: “God, align me with purpose. Surround me with those who speak life, not just like me. Strip me of attachments that sabotage YOUR assignments. Let my circle reflect Heaven, not just history.” Because when HE calls you, HE separates you. And when HE separates you, HE sanctifies you. And when HE sanctifies you, HE surrounds you with destiny, not distraction. Amen
