The title of this piece, reminds us that though we don’t always understand it, God’s hand is always at work.“When God Parts Us”
When God parts us from something, It may feel like a ripping. A tearing. A breaking. But beloved, It is really a rescuing. A refining. A re-routing. Because we see moments, HE sees eternity. We beg to stay, HE commands, “Go.” We cling to comfort, HE leads us into growth. And oh, how we cried when the door slammed shut, When love left, when plans unraveled, But haven’t you seen? Haven’t you lived enough to testify, That what left you didn’t ruin you? That what HE removed never returned void? When God parts us from something, HE isn’t punishing us, HE’S preserving purpose. You were mad about the rejection, But God was saving you from a collapse. You mourned the friendship that faded, But it was mercy that made them walk away. You wept when the job ended, But didn’t HE open a door you never knocked on? Give HIM thanks, not just for what HE gave, But for what HE didn’t allow. For every no, every not now, every not them. Because had HE not stepped in, You’d still be stuck. Still be broken. Still be begging for what was never meant to bless you. But God, HE intervened. HE edited the story you were writing with broken ink. HE authored something better. Look back. Trace HIS fingerprints. The thing you thought would destroy you, It was Divine detour. And now? You’re here. Standing. Breathing. Better. So praise HIM not just when it makes sense, But when it doesn’t. Because HIS plans? Always wiser. Always higher. HE parted you from what you thought you needed, To place you in what HE always knew you were made for. So worship HIM in the in-between. Thank HIM in the unknown. Because when God parts us, It’s never to leave us, It’s to lead us. Amen
