UNMADE
The title points to the idea that preachers are not “made” by institutions, but called by God, a reversal of conventional thought. Based on (1 Corinthians 1:20). No college can make a preacher. No seminary can summon the fire. Degrees cannot birth the Divine. For preaching, true preaching, is not taught; it is called. Not by man. Not by merit. But by God. Where is the wise? Silenced by eternity. Where is the scribe? His ink fades before the Living Word. Where is the disputer of this world? Drowned beneath the weight of Holy paradox. God has made foolish the wisdom of the world. And this is no accident; this is judgment and mercy intertwined. HE chooses the base to confound the noble, The weak to shame the strong, The unlearned to preach mysteries angels dare not utter. Do you seek recognition? God seeks obedience. Do you treasure rhetoric? HE treasures revelation. Do you require credentials? HE requires a cross. The preacher is not formed in lecture halls, But in caves, in deserts, in lion’s dens, in closets of prayer. The preacher bleeds before he speaks. He dies before he stands. He weeps before he thunders. And when he speaks, oh, when he speaks, It is not with the enticing words of man’s wisdom, But in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith may not rest in the mind of man, But in the power of God. So again I ask: Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Gone. For the foolishness of God is wiser than men. AmenUNMADE
