“The Wisdom to Walk Away”

A Sermonette for the Soul, It’s a blessing, yes, a quiet, Divine kind of blessing, to know who to ignore without becoming arrogant. What to overlook without losing awareness. Where to leave a matter without burying our voice. When to move on without rushing God’s timing. And why it’s all necessary for the health of our soul and the peace of our mind. Discernment is not indifference. It is the fruit of walking closely with the Spirit, the skill of the mature, and the grace of those who’ve been through enough to know that not every battle deserves a soldier. Only God, who sees the end from the beginning, who numbers our days and weighs our hearts, can teach us to walk away without bitterness, to release without regret, to let silence speak where words would only wound. Jesus HIMSELF in the face of accusation, manipulation, and blind misunderstanding, remained silent before Pilate, not out of weakness, but out of sovereign knowing. So we ask, Lord, grant us eyes beyond the visible, ears beyond the noise, and wisdom beyond our emotion. Help us to know: Who to ignore without hatred, what to overlook without naivety, where to leave a matter without cowardice, when to move on without guilt. And why all of it is a part of YOUR Divine pruning. This isn’t escape, it’s obedience. It isn’t passivity, it’s perspective. Because peace isn’t found in controlling the storm, but in trusting the ONE who calms it. And sometimes, the holiest thing we can do is to walk away with grace in our steps, forgiveness in our heart, and YOUR guidance as our compass. Amen
