“Love Is a Transforming Emotion”

Not the fleeting kind we see on screens or read in novels, but the kind that breathes life into dead places, the kind that God HIMSELF authored. Some of us walk through life with wounds too deep for words, the ache of abandonment, the silence of parental neglect, the weight of grief, or the scars from a broken relationship. These experiences harden hearts. They build walls. But the love of God is no ordinary affection. It is a healing agent, a balm for the soul (Jeremiah 8:22), a Divine force capable of transforming a heart of stone into a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). Even if you have been through all of it, left, lost, unloved; the love of Christ can reach into your sorrow and pull out joy. The Embodiment of Love. Look no further than the cross. Jesus did not just speak love, HE bled it. HE didn’t wait for us to be perfect, HE loved us while we were still sinners. HE took on rejection so we could be accepted. HE bore our griefs so we might find peace (Isaiah 53:4-5). Do you feel unloved? Then remember: You are fully known and fully loved by the CREATOR of the universe. HIS love does not require performance. It doesn’t expire. And it never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8). Love is not just what God does, it is who HE is (1 John 4:8). And when you encounter HIM, when you feel truly loved, you are never the same again. So let that love in. Let it transform your wounds into wisdom, your grief into grace, your heart of stone into a wellspring of compassion and joy. Because love, true love, is God. And HE is still in the business of healing broken hearts. Amen
