COVERED
I am covered… but not always protected.
Not from every whisper, not from every word.
‘Cause sometimes the deadliest weapons in warfare…
Are the ones that sound like sermons you’ve already heard.
They wear suits,
Hold mics,
Quote Scripture with twisted might,
But something don’t sit right…
See, the enemy’s got verbs.
He don’t just chill in shadows, he moves.
He:
Deceives.
Devours.
Tempts.
Destroys.
Accuses.
Lies.
Blinds.
Schemes.
He doesn’t roar, he whispers.
Doesn’t confront, he convinces.
He doesn’t show up with pitchforks,
He shows up with platforms and pulpits.
“In the last days, some will depart from the faith…”
Not because they lost it,
But because they traded it
For smoke screens and smooth speech.
For doctrines of demons that itch ears but starve souls.
We are covered by grace, yes.
But that doesn’t mean we’re shielded from every false word.
Sometimes the Lord lets the lie come close…
To see if you know the real thing.
Young believer, be wise.
Not every “Reverend” reveres.
Not every “prophetic” word is from the Spirit.
And not every fire is Holy.
Some fires are darts,
Launched from lips wrapped in church clothes.
And if you’re not armed with truth,
You might call a demon an “anointed” one.
So test the spirit.
Check the fruit, not just the fire.
Because wolves don’t bark, they blend.
And deception doesn’t knock, it moves in.
The enemy’s goal?
To divide:
Church from truth
Family from unity
Soul from Savior
You from yourself
He is the great deceiver,
The great divider,
The great destroyer…
But hear me now:
He is NOT God’s equal.
He was created.
He was cast down.
He trembles when the saints stand up.
So don’t fear him.
Just don’t underestimate him.
And don’t get comfortable just because you’re covered.
The armor of God was never meant for sitting down.
Stand.
Guard your mind.
Protect your ears.
Shield your heart.
Because being covered means you’re marked for the battle,
Not exempt from it.
So when the tongue of a false teacher starts to preach…
Don’t just listen—discern.
And when darkness tries to divide,
Don’t just survive, burn.
With truth.
With light.
With bold, Holy fire.
Because you are covered,
But your covering is a calling,
Not a complacency.
Covered… not protected.
But chosen…
For war.
Against the fiery darts you didn’t see coming.
When we think of spiritual attack, we imagine external storms,
Illness. Crisis. Persecution.
But what if I told you the deadliest darts come disguised as doctrine?
The enemy has a tongue,
And too often, it hides behind pulpits, platforms, and posts.
He’s not just attacking you, he’s aiming to divide your family, poison your church, and paralyze your community.
You are covered by grace, but that doesn’t mean you are protected from lies.
That’s why we must watch, test, and discern.
