To disentangle from something is an indication that we were once tangled, trapped, or snared by a thing, substance, or entity. Sometimes we are captured by trickery and other times we walk right into the snare. Usually a snare is one “having a noose of wire or cord”. The wire or cord holds the person trapped at the mercy of the guard. The presence of a guard leads one to the conclusion that there must be an overseer, keeper, or warden.
If entangled, there must be a net, wire, or cord that keeps us bound. Without something forcing us to remain caged, we would choose to set ourselves free instead. Although the guard may have been assigned the duty of snaring and holding us captive, they are under orders from their overseer the devil.
It is the evil overseer who has equipped the guards with the snares and cords required to capture and hold us. The most illusive scheme of the enemy is his use of trickery that leads us into the trap. Once trapped, wires and cords are used to keep us compliant to his rule.
There are men who work for the prison of the devil. The devil is the hunter of souls. He employs men and women to use whatever deceptive methods available in this world to capture and bind. Because they work for Satan, they use methods like drugs, evil music, and/or fleshy lust. These are the wires and cords that entangle us to remain entrapped. Those who set the traps are the drug dealers, performers, and those to whom we are yoked. Making the snares hard to see, unless discerned by someone blessed with the spirit of discernment.
In the things of this world, place no trust. Our FATHER God, creator of the universe, holds the key to set us free from any stronghold. HE is powerful to release us and bind the enemy that seeks to destroy us without cause. Place your trust in HIM, for HE is the ultimate giver of gifts. HIS Son Jesus was sent to anchor us to the light of HIS Word.
Satan once was given gifts by God, he made the mistake of trusting in his gifts, and not in the giver of them. Now he is entangled in darkness and will be there throughout eternity.
Please do not join him in the bottomless pit. Break free from the snares, wires, and cords that will keep you bound to the evil traps set by the enemy. When God sets you free, stay free and save others by glorifying the name of Jesus. HE gives us rest, and a productive mind needs rest. Pick the side of light and rest in continual peace.
