DIVINE REST

If it doesn’t have peace associated with it, turn and depart from it, for God wants HIS children to live in peace. (Psalm 34:14) Tells us to “spend your time in doing good”, HE’s telling us to, “seek peace and pursue it”.

(1 Corinthians 14:33) Speaks to the order and peace that should exist within the church.  We are called to live in harmony with one another.  God is not a God of confusion, but of order and peace.  Therefore, we should strive to conduct ourselves in ways that reflect these qualities and bring glory to God.

Let us treat others with love, kindness, and respect, listen with careful and empathetic concern, to understand another’s perspective.  Stray away from gossip and negative comments about others, especially when they are not present.  That we may be forever mindful of how our actions impact others.

Pray for others and ask God to bless them with peace, joy, and divine rest.  In HIM, it is easy to partake in the creation of an atmosphere of peace and harmony.  Prayer is a powerful way to relax and draw near to God, a place where we cast our anxieties and concerns before HIM that our minds and bodies can be at rest in HIS presence.  God’s environment is restorative for the spirit; it is where we experience growth, cultivate gratitude, and appreciation.  His Divine rest offers a tomorrow of new opportunities.  A tomorrow, that today, won’t change the outcome of, because tomorrow will take care of itself.

In God’s transcendent peace, exists a capacity to effectively connect with others.  Within this peace, we are free to be creative, and permitted to explore new ideas as we wander through our own imaginations.  HIS spiritual relaxation is like a state of deep-seated inner peace and a sense of connectedness to something greater than oneself.  Where we foster inner tranquility, which aids only positive emotions and thought patterns to flourish.
