FREED
The title highlights the redemptive outcome of accountability is freedom.“What Will You Be Accountable For?”
I thank God for bringing me through. Because I didn’t bring myself. It wasn’t my strength, Wasn’t my smarts, Wasn’t my willpower That parted the seas before me Or calmed the storms within me. No, It was grace. Unmeasured. Undeserved. Unmistakably Divine. You see, Times are much better now, But I remember the nights When “better” felt like a myth And “tomorrow” was a question mark. I was drowning, Not in water, But in choices I made. In paths I paved With my own two hands, Not realizing they led straight into fire. Yes, What happened to me Was what I was accountable for. My words. My silence. My actions. My inactions. And when I stood before the mirror of God’s truth, I had to own it. Not because God needed to shame me, But because God wanted to free me. You want freedom? Start with accountability. Not the kind that condemns, But the kind that transforms. Because hear this: Mercy does not erase responsibility, It redeems it. Now let me ask you, If the same storm came for you, If the same fire tried your faith, If life asked you the hard questions: What will you be accountable for? Will you blame the world for your wounds While hiding the knife in your own hand? Will you point fingers Or will you bow your head and lift your heart? This question, it’s not just mine. It’s yours. It’s ours. Global. Universal. Eternal. For whether you’re in Lagos or London, Mumbai or Memphis, God still asks: “Where are you?” Not in location, But in conviction. In truth. In love. Are you running from your past Or running into God’s arms? We all fall. But not all get up. Because some refuse to admit they stumbled. Don’t let pride keep you paralyzed. Don’t let guilt keep you silent. God is not looking for perfect people, HE’s calling for honest hearts. So I thank God for bringing me through. But more than that, I thank God for holding me accountable. Because that’s what saved me. And when your moment comes, When grace knocks And truth whispers: What will you be accountable for? Let the answer be bold. Let it be real. Let it lead you to healing. Because accountability, In the hands of a loving God, Isn’t a burden. It’s the beginning of your breakthrough. Amen
