GRACE ALONE

“Grace Alone”

In Galatians, Paul proclaims a gospel of grace, unearned, undeserved, and utterly sufficient. He declares that human effort, the way of the flesh, cannot fulfill the righteous requirements of God. Flesh and Spirit are not merely different, they are in conflict. The law exposes our inability; grace reveals God’s remedy. Victory over sin is not achieved by striving, but by surrendering. It is the Spirit, not the self that brings freedom. This is the true gospel: Christ has set us free, not so we may return to bondage, but so we may walk in liberty. And this liberty comes through a transformed mind, a kingdom mindset, where dependence on the Spirit replaces confidence in the flesh. To live by grace is to live by the Spirit. To walk by the Spirit is to crucify the flesh. And to crucify the flesh is to experience the life Christ died to give us full, free, and forever. “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free” (Galatians 5:1). No work of mine, no law fulfilled, Can calm the storm my heart has willed. The flesh may strive, the will may fight, But only grace can grant me light. Two paths at war within my soul One seeks control, one makes me whole. The flesh cries loud, “Achieve! Obey!” The Spirit whispers, “Trust, and stay.” The law reveals my deep unrest, A heart that fails each holy test. But Christ has borne what I could not, And paid in full my every spot. So now I walk not bound, but free, Not by my might, but Christ in me. HIS Spirit leads where law once reigned, And by HIS grace, the flesh is chained. No longer slaves to sin and pride, We live because the Savior died. And rising now, we bear HIS name, Alive by grace, not guilt or shame. This is the call, the gospel true: Not “Do for God,” but “HE for you.” So let the kingdom mind be known, The cross, our peace; the Spirit, throne. It is for freedom Christ has come We stand, we walk, by grace alone. Amen
