Like the little girl on my block who sells Girl Scout cookies, we’ve come to realize that those who share the gospel with us and support our ministry are never met with dismissal. Just as we wouldn’t turn away from the innocent joy of her simple offering, we never take for granted the kindness, encouragement, and prayerful support we receive from you, our readers and listeners. Your love and prayers are like those heart emojis, thumbs-up, praying hands, and words of encouragement that lift our spirits and remind us why we are called to this ministry.
It is much like that little girl, whose mom is not far away but trusts her to carry out her work with grace, politeness, and a wisdom beyond her years. We, too, are guided and inspired by the Holy Spirit to share the gospel, and like her mother’s trust in her, we feel the trust of our community, those of you who have walked alongside us, encouraged us, and supported us with your prayers and gestures—big and small. You are our partners in this mission.
As we come to the close of January, the first month of 2025, we pause to give thanks. There have been days of inspiration, when God has led us to write or share more than usual, and there have been moments of quiet reflection, but through it all, we know we are not alone. Your support—whether through a simple phone call, a text message, or the quiet act of sharing what we offer—has been invaluable. It is through your faithfulness that we are empowered to continue.
We often pray that our ministry can be as innocent, as humble, and as unassuming as the child who offers her cookies, never expecting more than the chance to share. Our deepest desire is that we never become a burden, that we never overwhelm, but that we remain a source of encouragement and inspiration—just as you are for us.
We offer the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all who will hear, knowing that even if some do not partake in the Bread of Life now, one day they may. And when they do, may they come to know just how great and loving our God is. To those who may never take a bite today but may one day come to hunger for HIM, we continue to offer the invitation.
