We reach a time in life—a crossroads—when we must make a choice. A choice not to fight harder, not to carry more, not to suffer longer. But a choice to let go.
Let go of the heartbreaks that shattered your peace. Let go of the betrayals that wounded your trust. Let go of the burdens that have weighed on your soul for far too long.
We often hold on to pain because we think we must carry it. We think remembering it protects us, defines us, or gives us strength. But in reality, holding on to pain only deepens the wound. It festers. It turns into bitterness, fear, anxiety, and isolation.
But God never intended for us to live in that place.
In (Matthew 11:28), Jesus says:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Rest does not come from holding on. Rest comes from surrender.
Peace is not found in control—it’s found in release.
To let go does not mean we forget. It means we choose to heal.
To let go does not mean we give up. It means we give over—to the ONE who can carry what we cannot.
Let go—and let God.
Let God restore what was broken.
Let God defend you where others falsely accused you.
Let God comfort the spaces where the pain once lived.
When we release our grip on the pain, we open our hands to receive HIS peace.
When we stop rehearsing the past, we begin walking in purpose.
When we let go, we let God take over.
You might say: “I carried the weight of the world on my back,
Heart full of sorrow, soul under attack.
I cried in the silence, I broke in the storm,
But grace found me there, tired and worn.
The Church say: “Let go and let God,
HE knows the road I trod.
HIS hands can heal, HIS love is real,
I’ll trust in where HE leads.
Let go and let God,
No need to strive or plod.
HE writes my days, HIS mercy stays—
I’m finally free indeed.
We say: “Chains of the past tried to keep me bound,
But HIS truth spoke life, and hope was found.
I’m not who I was, I’m made brand new,
When I gave it all, HE saw me through.
Oh, surrender isn’t weakness—
It’s where true strength begins.
When I let go of the darkness,
HIS light came rushing in.
Let go and let God,
HE walks the path I trod.
I’m held, I’m known, no more alone—
In HIM, I am complete.
Let go and let God,
Let mercy be your nod.
Release your fears, dry every tear—
And step into your peace.
