LIFE COMPANION

(Ecclesiastes 4:9-12) Speaks about the importance of having a companion to share life with. (John 15:5) Teaches us the importance of a spiritual connection with God.  Relationship with Jesus is the kind of connection your soul will always crave having more time of. (Colossians 3:1-2) Encourages us to set our minds on things above, the CREATOR, whose SON is seated at HIS right hand, the ultimate source of fulfillment and purpose in life.  HE is the ultimate companion to share life with.

(Proverbs 17:17) Tells us “A true friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need”, especially during difficult times.  God saves us from the clutch of fate’s strong and indifferent hand, the unpredictable forces of destiny. (Proverbs 16:9) “In their hearts humans plan their course but the Lord establishes their steps”.

Whatever you are looking for in this world is looking for you too. (Matthew 7:7-8) Says to ask, seek, and knock and it will be given, found, and opened.  Although, there are times we may suffer defeat on the way to our victory, as did the Biblical figures Job and Joseph.  We also rejoice in our afflictions, knowing that affliction produces endurance, endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope, (Romans 5:3-4).  This means that through trials and tribulations we can develop a stronger faith and a deeper understanding of God’s love and grace.  That it leads to a greater sense of hope that does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, our life long comforter.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
New International Version

9 “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. 11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
King James Version

9 “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.

10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?

12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Living Bible

9 “Two can accomplish more than twice as much as one, for the results can be much better. 10 If one falls, the other pulls him up; but if a man falls when he is alone, he’s in trouble.

11 Also, on a cold night, two under the same blanket gain warmth from each other, but how can one be warm alone? 12 And one standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer; three is even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.”
