MYSTERIES OF HEAVEN

As we delve into the subject of Heaven, we come to realize that the true depths of its mysteries defy human understanding.  The greatest of these enigmas is the nature of God HIMSELF.

While Scripture affords us an array of hints and indications as to the nature of Heaven, we must nonetheless acknowledge that for some, an understanding of this reality will remain cloaked in the shadows of mystery until the day Christ returns.  In (Mark 4:11-12) Jesus explains the knowledge of the secrets of the Kingdom of God.  This knowledge was given to HIS disciples, although, it was not given to everyone, (Matthew 13:11).  It was hidden from those who were outside the Kingdom.

Jesus spoke in parables to conceal spiritual truths from those who were not open to understanding, yet HE offered discernment to those who were willing to receive it.  Expressions such as, “they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven.”  Contained in these mysteries are the nature of eternal life, the purpose and meaning of creation, and the ultimate destiny of mankind.

HE is not intentionally hiding the truth from some people.  Instead, some people’s hearts and minds may not be receptive to the truth, so the message is presented in a way that they may see and hear it without understanding.  It is crucial that we seek to understand God’s Word and Laws with an open and humble heart, or we may never fully comprehend the depths of HIS glory and majesty.  HIS Word explains to all, that HIS Kingdom is accessible to those who hold an unwavering belief in HIM, and whom strive to gain HIS spiritual insight.

Thank you for reading this thought-provoking article that sheds light on the enigmatic nature of God, the all-encompassing, omnipotent Creator of the universe.  With the help of the Holy Spirit, we gain deeper insight into the great mystery.  Knowledge of HIS mysteries is a gift that is granted to those who follow HIM.
