NARROW PATH

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As leaders in the Body of Christ, we are not called to walk the broad road of convenience. We are called to the narrow path—where the way is often steep, but the ground is Holy.

Jesus said in (Matthew 7:14): “But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

Leadership on this path demands more than charisma. It requires character forged in humility, shaped by truth, and guided by Scripture.

Let us be honest—there will be moments when choosing God’s way means losing approval, facing resistance, even being misunderstood. Yet:

“To be humbled with lost reputation comes gained wisdom.”

That is a truth every faithful leader must learn. For what is a title if we lose our testimony? What is influence if it does not reflect the light of Christ?

There were many good people who came before us—leaders, prophets, apostles—who left behind Holy Scripture as a blueprint for living life and leading well. They walked this path, not seeking to be known, but to make HIM known.

So we must seek the truth, study the Word, and follow the narrow road with courage. Not because it is easy—but because it is eternal. Because it leads not to applause, but to life.

Leadership on the narrow path is not about being followed—it’s about faithfully following Christ.
Let us walk it boldly.

Amen.

“The Narrow Path: A Journey of Truth and Transformation”

Beloved Brothers and Sisters,

We gather today in a world that often celebrates reputation over character, comfort over conviction, and wide roads over narrow paths. But we are not called to walk as the world walks. We are called to follow Christ—to take the road less traveled, the road HE described in (Matthew 7:13-14).

It is not easy to find this road. And even harder, sometimes, to remain upon it. The narrow path does not promise applause. It often demands silence in the face of insult, courage in the face of loss, and perseverance when the soul is weary.

To walk the narrow path is to live in opposition to the tide of popular opinion. It is to risk misunderstanding, to lose what the world calls “reputation,” and yet to gain what only God can give—wisdom, eternal purpose, and peace that surpasses understanding.

“To be humbled with lost reputation comes gained wisdom.” That truth is not just a poetic line—it is a lived experience for every follower of Christ who has been stripped of worldly pride and clothed in the humility of grace. For what is reputation without righteousness? What is praise without purity of heart?

There were many good people who came before us who left behind Holy Scripture as a blueprint for living life. These were men and women who chose the narrow path—not because it was easy, but because it was true. They faced lions in arenas, exile in deserts, rejection in their own homes. Yet through it all, they remained faithful to the God who calls us still today.
