Two young girls, about ten-years-old or so, maybe a year apart were watching their Dad teach them how to change a car tire. As he instructed the girls, he turned around and said, “You will never need a man”.
What made him the best father is when one of the girls stopped him and responded, “No Dad, I need one and I want one”. For it is at that moment a father knows his daughters are truly his finest achievements. He just needed to teach them to make the best decisions and be there if they ever make mistakes. His daughter was right; she would one day need a man, and made it clear that she wanted one.
Whether a relationship ends or continues, it is mandatory that both husband and wife never place the other in a bad light in the eyes of the children. When they are old enough to decide their own paths, allow them to do so, especially when you have taught them the right way.
For mother’s who find that in later years they no longer desire the company of a man. Your daughter needs her father as her father learned early; she needed and wanted a man.
Do not confuse your child’s decision-making process, especially when what they need is within the natural order of life. You cannot interfere with the need of a child for that which is essential for their existence. Doing so will make them vulnerable to every wind that blows.
We all need and should want a Heavenly FATHER. Anything standing in the way of that relationship should be considered evil.
In (Matthew 6:9-13) we are taught how to pray in the Lord’s Prayer. By addressing God as “Our FATHER” acknowledges the intimate relationship believers have with their Heavenly FATHER. Signifying a sense of trust, dependence, and reverence towards God. Hallowed be YOUR name, honors the holiness and greatness of God’s name. YOUR Kingdom come and will be done, expresses a desire for God’s rule and reign to be established on earth. Give us this day our daily bread is a petition for God’s provision, not just physical but spiritual sustenance reminds us that we depend on God for our daily needs. Forgive us our debts are our plea for God’s forgiveness and our commitment to forgive others. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil is a request for guidance and protection, that HE will help us avoid temptation and deliver us from the power of evil. In (John 14:6-7) Jesus speaks about how to get to the FATHER. HE declares that HE is the way, the exclusive path through which humanity can come into a relationship with God.
We all need one, and should want a relationship with our FATHER.
Our FATHER’s heart is filled with warmth when HIS Bride loves and admires HIM. For HE knows they will soon need and desire a Bridegroom.
