Having power to do something, yet in your heart choosing not to do it, merely because you have authority to do so, is not weak, but a show of strength. Only rare people exercise authority from the heart, and history remembers them as being great.
Dear Heavenly FATHER, humbly we beseech YOU to grant our spirit wisdom, to allow authority over our brawn, be given to our benevolent heart. We implore YOU for fortitude to approach every conflict with empathy, profound love, and steadfast compassion. Sacred virtues that emanate from the very essence of our souls, and possess extraordinary power to heal and reconcile. Grant us ability to embrace vulnerabilities and afflictions of our fellow human beings, and illuminate our hearts with YOUR light of understanding. May this love extend beyond the boundaries of our own selves, and we become beacons of hope that embraces all that cross our paths. Merciful ONE, awaken the compassion that resides within each of us, bridge gaps that divide, and transform our world into a sanctuary where conflicts dissolve, and understanding prevails. AMEN
YOUR virtues shape our lives, and love must hold ultimate sovereignty.
In (1 Corinthians 13:4-8) we are told that love never fails, it describes the qualities and characteristics of love, which are unwavering, and it never loses its power or effectiveness. (Matthew 22:37-39) Captures the essence of Jesus’ teachings on the greatest commandment. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and mind. It goes on telling us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves, treating others with the same care, respect, and kindness. The foundation of harmonious relationships, and the guiding principle for righteous living, is love.
We have seen enemies, please God, send allies now.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
New International Version
4 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
King James Version
4 “Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Living Bible
4 “Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, 5 never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will hardly even notice when others do it wrong.6 It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out. 7 If you love someone, you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him, and always stand your ground in defending him.
8 All the special gifts and powers from God will someday come to an end, but love goes on forever. Someday prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge—these gifts will disappear.”
