We find ourselves wading in the shallow depths of self-righteous gutter water, attempting to separate the bad. Ultimately realizing that shallow still water is the most polluted of all.
There is water from a storm that floods the land, but it eventually rescinds and the land becomes dry again. These storms come, whether by rainfall, melting snow, or high tide, the excess water accumulates on the ground causing flooding that is usually temporary. After the storm, the process of receding water begins and the floodwater starts to drain away.
Natural drainage systems contribute to this; Rivers, streams, and other waterways act as channels for the water to flow towards larger bodies of water, like oceans and lakes. Some seeps into the ground, replenishing groundwater levels and some evaporates from the heat of the sun causing it to turn to vapor and rise into the atmosphere.
Shallow depths of polluted water pose risks; exposure to harmful bacteria, virus, and parasites, avoiding it minimizes a possible interchange. When we wade in the gutter water of self-righteousness, we offer ourselves as host bodies for leeches.
God always sends HIS people a warning; failure to heed HIS counsel leads to ultimate destruction. Especially, those who mock HIM or HIS Word, soon will see, in time of storm, no one will trade their seat on the ark with mockers of God. Watch how they attempt to make deals with truth to gain entry into the ark. For when the waters’ depths are shallow and putrid, God will surely send a storm to wash it all clean. Let people be who they are, they will stay in the past where they belong, as you pass them by, let your hello be goodbye, on your way to the ark of God.
When the storm is over, and the water recedes, revealing a vast and rejuvenated land, reminiscent of the days of Noah, when the ark found rest on Mount Ararat. A new society emerges that will populate eternity. (Genesis 8:4) In (Genesis 9:1) the Bible tells us that after the flood, God blessed Noah and his sons. They were told to be fruitful, multiply, and fill or re-populate the earth.
