SILENT SCREAM

Silent, and our right to remain so, should not be confused with our ability to scream for help.  Appreciate the distinction between the choice to stay quiet and the power to call out for help.

Seek God, when between decisions to remain silent or to speak.  Wisdom is demonstrated when knowing when to do both.  In (Proverbs 17:28) King Solomon imparts wisdom about the perception of wisdom based on one’s silence.  (Ecclesiastes 3:7) King Solomon is reflecting the different seasons and times of life.  He acknowledges that there are appropriate moments for silence and moments for speaking.  This is a reminder to exercise discretion in words and actions, adapt to circumstances of the season.

King David composed (Psalm 18:6) as a song of deliverance.  David describes his distressful situation; he wrote, “I screamed to the Lord for HIS help”.  In (Psalm 34:17) David speaking to the righteous ones, people who follow God, encouraging them to cry out to the Lord for help in times of trouble.  A reminder of God’s faithfulness to deliver us when we rely on HIM during difficult times. (Psalm 107:19) We are encouraged to cry out to the Lord for help, in times of trouble or distress, HE will rescue us, and provide deliverance.  God is attentive and responsive to the cries of HIS people who express a plea for help.  There is power in crying out to God for help.

In certain seasons, there is power in remaining silent but when in distress, scream for help, from God!  Let HIM send people and occurrences into a good memory where they are left, and we are placed us on a drama free diet.

People of substance and depth, God fearing, and who no longer feel disconnected in a superficial culture, that’s who we are to the 10th power.
