For the marginalized, it’s like awakening from an induced stupor to find countless important task that require immediate attention. No one seemed bothered by our sleep, assuming that our ability to recover from it was set in stone. We are overdue, behind time, and sluggish upon arrival.
We cannot blame anyone for us preferring to rest in mediocrity and contentment. Using every excuse possible to place blame on others for disconnecting the alarm clock. When in fact, we are to blame for not denying ourselves the immediate indulgence of the party, drink, or drugs that led to our slumber. There is something to be said about who or what provided the party, drink, or drugs. However, the ultimate decisions we make rest with us. Many of us follow people and subject matter that does nothing to change the world for the better. There in lies the trap, for they are part of the stupor scheme. We are distracted into inaction, and miss the urgency of our calling until our time has passed. When old, it becomes apparent that life is serious, and then it’s gone.
God equipped us with the capacity to absorb and retain information, that we may execute HIS plan for our lives. Can you imagine there being an evil force that denies you access to that information? That can thereby impede, hinder, or obstruct your role in God’s Kingdom agenda. The obstructions appear miles high, and many of them are self-constructed.
When contending with constant pushback, many will stop pushing forward, even after the pushback stops. The Bible tells us that, it is our push against the pushback that builds our strength. More power is needed to push beyond the barriers to get to an appointed place. That power comes from the Word of God. Seek God and find your power, or be forever delayed in reaching your assignment. The Holy Scripture is not an end unto itself, but a letter written, to bring man to the sustaining knowledge of God. With HIS wisdom, our individual role in society is realized. God lays us out as distinctive bricks, to complete the stairway of humanity. A flawed brick cannot be used in a perfect stairway, but it can go back to God and be reshaped into a perfect brick.
Time is of the essence; don’t be delayed in reaching your appointed place. It is the opposition’s job to ensure your delay. The enemy wants to disturb construction of the perfect stairway, because he can’t stop it. We are the brick needed for the next generation to climb, to reach our human destiny, before the end of time.
