THE 7th TIME

If we should stand after the sixth (6th) try, which means we have failed six (6) times and that our next stand will be the 7th time.  Whatever the number of your failures, you need to add one (1) to it, for the number of times that you need to pray.

In (Luke 18:27) Jesus explains that what is impossible with man is possible with God.  Impossible means that it cannot be done, with man means by human effort or power, possible means it can be achieved by God’s power.

The number seven often used to signify completeness and the perfection that is in HIS scattered light contained in the water droplets of the atmosphere.  HE set HIS rainbow in the clouds as a sign of the covenant between HIM and the earth.

HIS perfect rainbow, consist of (7) colors, they are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.  These are the seven (7) colors in God’s perfect rainbow as mentioned in (Genesis 9:13).  The rainbow is a reminder to the people that God will always protect HIS children and HIS creation the earth.

There are seven (7) capital sins mentioned in Scripture, pride, envy, wrath, sloth, lust, greed, and gluttony. (Proverbs 16:5) Tells us that pride is a horrible trait in a person’s character and that those who possess it are detestable in the eyes of God and they will not escape punishment. (Proverbs 14:30) Teaches us that envy is opposite of peace and can lead to bitterness and resentment which can rot the bones.  Wrath is explained in (Psalm 37:8) and it encourages us to let go of negative emotions and not allow them to take control of our actions, for they lead only to evil. (Proverbs 18:9) Slothful people are brothers to those who are great wasters in idle laziness. (Matthew 5:28) Explains that strong lustful desires come from the heart.  (Ecclesiastes 5:10) Tells us that greed leads to a never-ending cycle of wanting more, which in the end is meaningless. (Proverbs 23:21) Warns us against gluttony, or the excessive consumption of food and drink.

Any nation that spends its wealth on excessive consumption, instead of the essential provisions like shelter for its people, will face financial instability.

In closing, we are more effective people when not under the effects that are caused by overindulgence.  For, the traveling companions of overindulgence are gluttony and drunkenness.
