TOXIC MASCULINITY

“He who wants to be king must first learn to serve.”  A household in which the “father or a male elder has absolute authority over the family group” can only be if that elder is whole.  A council is, “one or more men who exert absolute authority over a community.”  The same is true when a government of men rule over a nation as a whole.

Sometimes, to be king and rule in peace, one must deal with issues that have robbed them of their peace.  If a man has been reigned over by an abusive father, chances are he will become a cruel ruler over his own family.

If the opposite of masculinity is femininity, can it too be toxic?  If so, the title of this article can be considered “CLICKBAIT”.  Is toxicity a result of the office or the gender?  The patriarchy system enforces men in power to the exclusion of women.  Some men have not earned the right for such power.

With the rise of women in power today, have their issues been dealt with concerning inner peace?  Is there a council or board in place, consisting of men and women who monitor unresolved issues of those rising to power?  Will a woman who has been excluded from power, now disregard men?

A man who serves his wife and children in the home, is he considered worthy to be king of a nation?  What about his wife that he has served, because she did not recognize her husband’s service to her, can she object to him being chosen as king?  The same question can be asked in reverse; can a husband, who was properly served by his wife, raise objection to her appointment as queen?  She who wants to be queen must first learn to serve.  Whether a patriarch or matriarch system, issues arise when one does not recognize the service of the other, no matter who is in authority.  The whole monarchy is unstable when its ruler is not whole!  The ruler is only whole, when the members of the dynasty never raise public objection to their authority.

If a member leaves the monarchy in objection, let them never find the monarch in the same place where they left them, should they ever meet again.  The objecting member is forgiven in silence but is never again spoken about. The Kingdom of God must move forward regardless of those seeking asylum in another kingdom.  They are blotted out as if they never were. (Psalm 109:13)

With God, we can rise to the power of our position.  Because on the other side of conflict is where peace and joy can be found.  Remember that lies create bondage, so know truth, and truth will set you free. (John 8:32)
