Discerning false teachings and upholding truth in life is the duty of those who follow God’s Word. We should be cautious of any teachings that spread false beliefs and principles. It is important to discern and label them as incorrect without hesitation.
As followers of Jesus, it is critical to acknowledge that specific actions can have a damaging impact that can lead us towards ruins in the long term. With God’s divine intervention, HE helps us identify false teachings.
We must cherish having a compassionate heart, but also remain firm and rooted in the teachings of the scriptures. Never compromising our pursuit of truth and we should have courage to step away from situations that can lead to our spiritual destruction. Common factors associated with spiritual destruction include negative influences, unhealthy relationships, addiction, lack of purpose or direction, and disconnection from one’s inner self or our higher power.
In contrast, positive factors such as love, self-care, mindfulness, personal growth, and meaningful connections can help promote spiritual well being and protect against spiritual destruction. Nurture your faith and spirituality. Choose friends and associates who share similar values and ethical lifestyle.
It is ultimately up to us as individuals to cultivate a relationship with God that aligns with HIS Word to foster a healthy sense of purpose and connection. (John 8:32) Tells us what happens when we know the truth. (Proverbs 12:22) Says that God delights in those who keep their promises. (Ephesians 4:25) Reminds us that we Christians are part of one body and by lying to each other only hurts ourselves. (Colossians 3:9-10) Instructs us not to lie to one another, those who have put on the new self. (Psalm 15:1-2) Sheds light on who shall dwell on God’s Holy Hill with HIM.
