Which cide are you? We have the potential as people to become geno, homi, or sui; God saves us from having to choose between either of these cides. HE offers us the only hope of never choosing a cide.
There is Insecticide, used for killing insects. Pesticide, a substance used for destroying organisms and can be harmful to plants or animals.
There is killing of one person by another, Homicide, once done without guilt, choosing any other cide is easy to do. Next is Genocide, deliberate killing of large groups of people. Which leads to Regicide, the action of killing a king or deliberate act of causing the death of a reigning monarch or ruler. Then, Fratricide describes the act of killing one’s own brother or sister. Infanticide refers to, within a year of birth, the deliberate ending of an infant’s life. Patricide, the act of killing one’s own Father and Matricide of one’s Mother. The only cide left is Suicide, the intentional act of causing one’s own death.
In (1 Samuel 31:4) we are told that Saul faced suicide when his armor-bearer would not take his life.
Be thankful that you never have to decide a cide; a Savior freed you of that burden already. HE gave you hope and the ability to remain uncommitted to any cide.
