I’m not a bad person; I have just made some bad decisions. Who among us, have not made a few? Is there a place in society for those of us who have learned not to make them anymore?
In society, it is common to label someone based solely on a bad decision they have made. Not the repeated bad decision maker, but those among us who have learned not to make them.
Society must find a way to recognize and reward the people who do not continually make bad decisions. The people, despite their circumstances, who contribute to society in meaningful ways. Resources are best utilized when it recognizes its citizens, who among us are worthy of recognition.
We need a deeper appreciation for individuals whose decision-making process is properly functioning. Because too much of our resources are being wasted on those with malfunctioning decision-making processes. Realign our societal focus and reward those among us who do good.
There are no bad people in the world; there are only people who make bad decisions. How can we calibrate resources to appreciate people who do the right thing? Inspire people with incentives for them to make good decisions, and fewer of our resources would be needed to go towards those who make bad ones. Society can transform the atmosphere to doing good, simply by recognizing those among us, who do.
For the people who do good, (Galatians 6:9) tells us not to get tired of doing what is right. In (Romans 12:21) we are taught how to overcome evil with good, it’s a powerful weapon.
