WHO I AM
FATHER,
In YOUR boundless mercy,
Tranquil every hornet’s nest in this world—
Let no hand, no word, no fury stir them again,
Not in this lifetime.
We, YOUR children,
We beseech YOU:
Let peace rise where chaos once reigned,
Let calm settle over the aching heart of society,
Let understanding soften the hardened places within us.
For I am one who longs for stillness,
One who believes in the quiet power of grace,
One who trusts that even in a world restless with storms,
YOUR hand can bring stillness again.
In the Name of Jesus
Amen
In (Exodus 3:14): God reveals HIMSELF to Moses with the declaration, “I AM WHO I AM,” emphasizing HIS eternal and self-existent nature. We hear the phrase multiple times, for instance (Isaiah 41:4) where God asserts, “I, the Lord, the first, and with the last; I am HE,” affirming HIS sovereignty and eternal presence.
God said, “Who I AM, and I Am HE”
I am the bread, I am the light, I am the door, I am the good shepherd, I am the resurrection, I am the way, the truth, and the life, I am the true vine. Jesus’ use of “I AM” connects HIS identity to the Divine, affirming HIS unity with God the FATHER. These declarations are pivotal in understanding the nature of God and the person of Jesus Christ in Christian belief. God declares HIS uniqueness and exclusivity as the ONE true God. HE said, “I Am the first, and I am the last; besides ME there is no god.
“I alone Am HE”!
